My Life Now

My name is Julia, and this is my life now.
I am 24 years old and live in Georgia.
I am a cosmetology student, photography nut, and work at Bath and Body Works.
I am the proud mother of 2 handsome boys.
Felix born 02/05/10 and Rex born 08/10/12.

Ask me anything
Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light. I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.
— Sarah Williams

The boys and I are doing spring break right

We hiked the falls and flew a kite.
Now tortilla-less enchiladas are cooking and I’m trying to find an after dinner movie. I’m thinking Frozen ;)

Saw this somewhere else and felt the need to post it cause no one else ever really tells you this stuff

My mom never really noticed. She noticed when she was breast feeding my little brother and blood started coming out instead of milk.

My mom said she felt and saw a little lump in the shower. She was lucky enough she found it at stage 2

My mom had a mammogram. The radiologist thought the spots were just regular calcium deposits.
Turns out it was triple negative breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nods. Mastectomy, radiation and chemo saved her life.
This could SAVE a life.
dont be embarrassed to reblog, this post could be life saving

Signal BOOST and pass it on. I had a breast cancer scare before (luckily it was just scar tissue…) and information like this kept me calm and collected at the doc’s.

As a cancer patient myself, who found my own cancer through a supposed LARPing injury last year, i know how scary it is and how important it is to catch it early. Please spread this around!

hoW MANY TIMES AM I GOING TO REBLOG THIS ! SORRY FOLLOWERS , #sorrynotsorry

Always reblog!

REBLOG,THIS COULD SAVE SOMEBODY!!! DONT BE EMBARRASSED!!!

my cat literally found my mothers breast cancer. So go get checked if your pets keep touching the same spot with their paw. this is serious

I literally cannot reblog this enough. Get. Your. Mammograms, ladies. My mom is Stage 1, thank God, but she still has to go through chemo because it’s aggressive. Pay attention to your body and get regular checkups if you can afford them or if you have a Planned Parenthood nearby. This isn’t something to be taken lightly.

Week 3 Atkins Check In

Week 3 is done! I’ve lost another 2lbs!
Last night I went out with friends and had a few drinks. Today I did a carb up, to absorb the alcohol. I was craving some cheese sauce to too my broccoli.
Tomorrow I’m back to maintaining less than 20 carbs a day.
I think I’m going to do a carb up every 3 weeks.

Had my first client today

I was a nervous wreck. I did an all over 5M and it turned out fabulous.
This semester is over on May 1st, and I start on the clinic floor May 19th!!

Don’t think about what can happen in a month. Don’t think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be.

Found out why I could never wear false lashes

Apparently the adhesive has latex in it.
Explains a lot!
